Sara Schroder Harrington

Savannah- Sara Louise Schroder Harrington, age 76, died after a courageous battle with cancer on April 1, 2008 at her home.

A Savannah native, the daughter of the late Aage G. and Louise Bacon Schroder. Sara was a graduate of Pape School and attended Mary Washington College and the University of Georgia. She was a member of the Junior League of Savannah and Assitance League in Seattle, Washington. Sara volunteered as a Pink Lady and with the Red Cross.

After living in Mercer Island, Washington, and the Southwest Florida area for many years she was grateful to have recently returned to her hometown of Savannah. She will be remembered for her love of nature, which she found so beautiful.

Proceeded in death by her brothers, Aage G. Schroder, Jr. and Oliver B. Schroder.

Surviving is her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Betty Schroder of Savannah and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2008 in Bonaventure Cemetery.

I will always remember Sara Louise as my lovely, distant cousin whom I admired. I even borrowed and wore her wedding dress many years ago. I'm glad she was able to return to Savannah and her loving family and close friends.
